260531 - Hiking Visit to the Barrage de CLEUSON Dam in Siviez

On this day right after breakfast, PP and I went straight to Siviez and parked our car somewhere close to the building and started climbing (Hiking) up to the top of the mountain where the CLEUSON DAM (Hydro dam) was built to produce electricity. As old as PP was, he was able to climb the mountain to the top and that surprised me so much. He is very strong even @78 years. PP is a strong man.

We were able to make it there and I had to climb up to the top of the dam and I can not believe what I saw up there. The scene was so beautiful, behind the dam was the water reservoir with the finest water and very huge. From the bed of the river to the top of the dam was about 90 meters. I saw a church just close to the dam up there on the mountain. The dam was built between 1947-1953 and the width of the water is about 420 meters wide (Link to read more: Cleuson Dam | Switzerland Tourism). The scene up there was so beautiful. There is a road built straight from the ground level to the top where the dam is, so coming down, we walked the road down to where our car was parked. From there, we drove back home to have dinner. I was a bit tired but was an amazing adventure and experience. I loved every bit of the whole happenings today.

260530 - Visit to Nendaz

On this day, we made a trip to Nendaz to spend about 2 nights. On our way, we made lots of stops to some beautiful scenes. We went to the the cheese factory in Gruyere and say how the cheese are preserved. (Link to read more: Gruyère Traditions | Restaurant and master cheesemaker in Gruyère). From there we went through Montreux just by Lake Geneva. the scene there was so beautiful, PP and I walked a little by the lake and later continued our journey. On the end part of Lake Geneva in Montreux, we say the only castle that is built on a lake which is called Musée Fort de Chillon (Link to read more: Home - Fort de Chillon).

On our way from Montreux, we saw the city called Ardon where the major crops grown there is only grapes which will be used for wine production. The place were full of grapes (up the mountain and below), it was beautiful. We even went to one of the shops to try the wine but we got there at about 14 minutes after they closed. We planned to do that when returning back to Arisdorf. From there we drove to the city of SION and it was beautiful. We saw the castle they had there from outside and also drove through the city (Link to read more: Castles - Sion Tourisme - Le site officiel). I walked through one street and it was full of people just having fun. From there, we drove up the mountain to Nendaz. Nendaz is about 1,400 meters high above sea level and the top of the mountain (Mont-Fort) is about 3,330 meters above sea level. (Link to read more about Mont-Fort: Mont-Fort | Nendaz Switzerland). When we arrived, PP prepared a nice dinner and it was delicious.

260529 - Pushing Pressured Water Through Drainage from The House and Trimming the Hedge

On this day, just after breakfast, PP and I had a discussion about a new prepaid mechanism he has developed for the fetching station project we do in Ghana which is a effective. I also made him to explain to me by drawing a diagram how the heating system in his house actually works and it was an amazing system.

After that we went for the pressure pipe to pump pressured water into the pipes from the house that goes to the reservoir behind the garden to remove all blockages and prepare for a rainy day. After that work was done, I had to trim the hedges around the house to make the place beautiful. The family was so happy about that and the place looked beautiful. After which dinner was served and that was it for the day. The weather was not too hot today and everything went smoothly.
